Currency of Bhutan
Currency :
Bhutan's unit of
currency is the Ngultrum (Nu.), with 100 Chetrum = 1 Ngultrum. The Ngultrum
is fixed to the value of the Indian rupee.
Money change
facility:
There are several banks in Thimphu (the capital of
Bhutan) such as the Bank of Thimphu, Bhutan National Bank and Citibank, with
branches in some of the districts as well. While some establishments take Visa and
American Express, credit cards are not widely accepted in Bhutan. Visitors
